TAMPA – Amid frustration following Cincinnati basketball's loss at Houston, Trevon Scott's face softened during a reporter's question about coach John Brannen.
Brannen guided his team Sunday roughly 24 hours after his father died. Scott, the senior forward who Brannen years ago recruited as an Alabama assistant, spoke about the coach as if he was a family member.
"Coach is a solider," Scott said. "He’s good, and he has a great support system around him. Great family, great players around.
