For years, I heard nothing but gripes about Mick Cronin.
His recruiting. His game management. His team’s inability to score and their inability come up big in the biggest moments.
You never saw me say one word against Cronin.
And, until now, I’ve never written a negative word against John Brannen.
But the gig is up. This team has more than just underachieved in 2020-2021.
Despite Brannen’s apparent success in recruiting, this model of the Cincinnati Bearcats team wouldn’t even be particularly good in the MAC, let alone the AAC.
This team, as evidenced by yesterday’s nearly unprecedented shellacking, is downright uncompetitive.
