Cincinnati's Desmond Ridder now has more than 5,000 career passing yards after a 258-yard, two-touchdown performance in the Bearcats' 24-10 win last week over then-No. 22 Army.
The junior quarterback's 5,063 career yards rank seventh in program history. Ridder is only the eighth Bearcats quarterback to eclipse the 5,000-yard mark.
Ridder's play has caught the eye of first-year South Florida coach Jeff Scott.
"I think their quarterback has a chance to be an NFL guy, looking at his arm and accuracy and those type of things," Scott said of the 6-foot-4, 215-pound Ridder.
Scott knows NFL-caliber talent.
