Three keys, prediction: No. 7/8 Cincinnati hosts Murray State in first-ever meeting

The No. 7/8-ranked (Associated Press/Coaches) University of Cincinnati football team finally unveiled its new and improved offense last week in a dominant 49-14 win over rival Miami University in the 125th Battle for the Victory Bell.

Desmond Ridder looked patient, comfortable, confident and decisive as offensive coordinator Mike Denbrock and passing game coordinator Gino Guidugli showed off an array of different motions and creative formations.

Ridder completed 20 of 25 passes and tied a career-high with four passing touchdowns. One score went for 81 yards to sophomore wide receiver Tyler Scott on the second play from scrimmage, one went to junior running back Ryan Montgomery, and the other two went to tight ends Josh Whyle and Leonard Taylor.
