UC's Cronin rants after UConn win plus Cumberland, Brooks. Scott Springer, sspringer@enquirer.com
While most of the 11,345 at Fifth Third Arena enjoyed a barnburner of an overtime victory by the University of Cincinnati over Connecticut Saturday night, coach Mick Cronin had enough steam coming off him to melt the night's snow.
Lamenting his team's decision making, free throw shooting and lack of effective rebounding, Cronin called UC's 14th win embarrassing. In six minutes, he made it clear that career win No. 351, a 74-72 overtime thriller, was far from one of his favorites.
