GREENVILLE, NC - With East Carolina coming off an 82-54 shellacking at SMU Wednesday and the University of Cincinnati coming off a 32-point win over Tulane, a relatively easy win for the Bearcats might have been expected on Saturday.

At the very least, a win.

Instead, the 4,238 that elected to spend a sunny afternoon at Minges Coliseum were treated to a rare event in ECU history: a win over the Bearcats. UC had dominated the series 12-1 coming in with the last loss coming almost four years ago in 2015 (also in Greenville, 50-46).
