TULSA, Ok — In two consecutive games on the road, the University of Cincinnati has had to scrape and claw. Last Saturday, they lost at East Carolina though Jarron Cumberland had the ball with six seconds left. What some saw as a foul wasn't called and the Bearcats lost 73-71.

Thursday in Tulsa, UC was down six points with a minute and change. Somehow, Cane Broome's shot and confidence reappeared and the crafty lefty maneuvered an off-balance shot at the buzzer to resuscitate UC's chances in a game that a few Golden Hurricane fans may have thought was in the bag.
