Before Thursday's NBA Draft got under way, former Cincinnati Bearcats standout Sean Kilpatrick shared a message of hope and inspiration with players whose names wouldn't be called: "Reach out to me and we can start working ... and form a chip as big as Mount Rushmore on your shoulder."
Bearcats forward Gary Clark Retweeted Kilpatrick's Tweet. Clark wasn't drafted on Thursday night, but he signed a two-way deal with the Houston Rockets after the draft.
Clark's teammate, Jacob Evans, was the Golden State Warriors' first-round pick - 28th overall.
The 28-year-old Kilpatrick has played for six NBA teams since 2015 despite going undrafted in 2014.
