The Cincinnati Bearcats had a less than auspicious start to conference play this weekend.
The Bearcats, now 11-14, dropped their first four conference games to the East Carolina University Pirates.
The Boys from Greenville held Cincinnati’s offense in check all weekend. Cincinnati never managed more than 4 runs against the 11th ranked Pirates.
The poor outings against ECU did in fact come against a fantastic team, one chalked full of talent that will play professional baseball.
On Thursday, Cincinnati put up their best showing, leading 4-2 as late as the 7th inning but falling late to the Pirates.
