Another potential candidate to replace Buzz Williams as Virginia Tech's head coach has been eliminated, according to a report Saturday from Richmond.com's Mike Barber.
Despite reports earlier in the day that UMBC's Ryan Odom was headed to Blacksburg, Barber reported that multiple sources confirm that the Hokies will look elsewhere to fill their head coaching vacancy after athletic director Whit Babcock - who worked with Mick Cronin for 2 1/2 years at UC before leaving for Virginia Tech - discussed the opening with Odom.
