The University of Cincinnati Bearcats weren't one of the four teams selected for the College Football Playoff, but their No. 8 ranking did secure a New Year's Six bowl - a meeting with the University of Georgia Bulldogs in the Peach Bowl on Jan. 1.
During Sunday's selection show on ESPN, analyst Joey Galloway argued that UC undoubtedly could beat Oklahoma, which ranked No. 6 in the rankings.
Later in the show, Greg McElroy and Booger McFarland agreed that it was a shame for an undefeated team like the Bearcats to be excluded from the CFP. Jim Mora, however, argued that UC doesn't have the athletes to compete with the four teams the committee selected.
