The Cincinnati Bearcats were four practices into their spring football schedule when everything was shut down because of the novel coronavirus pandemic.
It was an abrupt end to development for young players who were trying to adjust to bigger roles, though they were on spring break when their final 11 spring practices were canceled. It remains unknown how the pandemic will affect summer workouts, fall camp and the start of the college football season.
The Bearcats will return a lot of defensive starters and several on offense as Luke Fickell enters his fourth season at the head of the program.
