Nick Van Exel, a former standout guard for UC from 1991 to 1993 who played 13 seasons in the NBA, was among former players honored at Fifth Third Arena during the Bearcats' win Thursday night against Memphis.
Van Exel, now an assistant coach for the Memphis Grizzlies, received a standing ovation from the crowd as he was recognized on the court during a break as part of a season-long program paying tribute to former Bearcats.
