Darrick Forrest, a safety for the University of Cincinnati Bearcats for the past four seasons, was selected by the Washington Football Team with the 19th pick of the fifth round (163rd overall) of the 2021 NFL Draft.
Forrest was named 2020 Honorable-Mention All-American Athletic Conference. He was a First-Team All-AAC selection in 2019.
The Enquirer's Keith Jenkins wrote late last month that Forrest stole the show at the Bearcats' Pro Day, running a 4.38 in the 40-yard dash.
Forrest finished his UC career with six interceptions and 200 tackles, including a team-high 106 in 2019.
