An agonizing loss was evident in the face of Cincinnati Bearcats basketball coach Wes Miller Wednesday after watching his team let a 16-point lead fizzle away in less than nine minutes. It was the third consecutive road game the Bearcats had held a lead for a significant time, only to see it go by the wayside.
It was their second straight game minus 6-foot-11, 240-pound Viktor Lakhin whose 12.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game are sorely missed. Lakhin is also a shot-changer and led the team in blocks and steals before rolling his ankle less than 10 minutes into the game at Tulane.
