Cincinnati basketball players Jarron Cumberland and Mika Adams-Lands talk Bearcats' win against UNLV on Saturday. Cincinnati Enquirer
There were micro and macro takeaways for coach John Brannen and the Cincinnati basketball program following three close games a week ago at Paradise Jam in the Virgin Islands.
Not turning the ball over and playing better second-half defense were fixes Brannen said the team worked on in practice ahead of Saturday's 72-65 overtime win against UNLV.
Brannen said he and his staff also held individual meetings with players to clearly define roles. At least one freshman – point guard Mika Adams-Woods – appears to be growing increasingly comfortable with added responsibility.
