McKinley football's Jonah Lytle switches commitment to Cincinnati from Toledo

CANTON Turns out Jonah Lytle will go to a different corner of Ohio to play his college football.

The McKinley High School senior cornerback switched his verbal commitment to the University of Cincinnati with an announcement on social media Monday. Lytle originally had been a Toledo recruit before decommitting over the weekend.

The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Lytle was a three-year starter for the Bulldogs, who were knocked out of the Division I playoffs on Friday in a loss to Brunswick.

Cincinnati head coach Luke Fickell and defensive coordinator Marcus Freeman reached out to McKinley head coach Marcus Wattley over the weekend to check on Lytle’s status.
