Mason Madsen scored a career-high 19 points, including five 3-pointers, Jeremiah Davenport added 19 points, and the University of Cincinnati men's basketball team outscored East Carolina 45-34 in the second half Sunday to end the regular season with a 82-69 victory on the road.
With the Bearcats ahead 55-53 inside the 10 minute mark in the second half, Cincinnati went on a 12-0 run fueled by 3-pointers by Davenport, Madsen and Keith Williams and a thunderous alley-oop from Madsen to Tari Eason to pull away.
With the win, the Bearcats (10-10, 8-6 AAC) end their two-game skid and enter postseason play with some momentum.
