MEMPHIS – The University of Cincinnati men's basketball team's quest for a second straight American Athletic Conference tournament championship is still alive after the Bearcats took a late lead in the first half on Justin Jenifer’s 3-pointer at the buzzer and never looked back. Up 40-38 at the break, the Bearcats went on to win 82-74.
Jarron Cumberland hit for 26 points and tied a career-high in assists with eight. Trevon Scott had a double-double of 17 points and 12 rebounds, while Jenifer had 17 and didn’t miss a shot, going 6-for-6 with five triples.
"My teammates did an amazing job of getting in the paint and drawing the defense so I can get open shots," Jenifer said.
