MEMPHIS – Cincinnati football's starting quarterback spot for next weekend's AAC championship game at Memphis remains to be determined.
That's according to Bearcats' coach Luke Fickell, who couldn't say Friday after losing to the Tigers 34-24 if Desmond Ridder will be healthy for next week's rematch or if Ben Bryant will get his second start.
"We have to go assess exactly where we are," Fickell said. "We have to see how Des is. I mean, Des is our starter, and if Des is healthy and he can practice, and he can prepare and do the things we have to do, then I would be crazy to say that Desmond Ridder, who has gotten us to this point, wouldn't be our quarterback.
