University of Cincinnati football coach Luke Fickell still has flashbacks to how his Bearcats started at Indiana last season.
"It was probably the worst 28 minutes of football we played in a while," he said Tuesday.
Cincinnati trailed the Hoosiers 14-0 with 2:27 to play in the first half. Then Hoosiers middle linebacker and senior captain Micah McFadden was ejected for a targeting penalty on a hit on then-Bearcats quarterback Desmond Ridder. Cincinnati scored 17 unanswered points after the play and rallied to a 38-24 win.
"We did not play well," Fickell said. "We didn't handle the atmosphere quite as well.
