The unofficial temperature at kickoff was 29 degrees, tying the lowest for a USF game start. USF also began with a 29-degree reading on Dec. 6, 2008 at West Virginia, as the Bulls lost 13-7.
USF entered the game with a 1-5 lifetime record when the game time temperature was 40 or below, according to the USF media guide.
About 20 USF players came out shirtless for early warmups, in an apparent attempt to get used to the cold.
