MONFORT HEIGHTS - After a convincing 31-7 victory at Lancer Stadium to start the season against Tom Bolden's Lakota West Firebirds, La Salle High School's football players, coaches and fans are feeling optimistic about the 2019 campaign.
Just a year ago, Coach Pat McLaughlin's squad missed out at 4-5, which included missing a game when their Florida opponent last October couldn't make the trip due to weather. It was La Salle's first miss at the playoffs since 2013. From 2014-2016, La Salle was the Ohio Division II champion under Nate Moore and Jim Hilvert.
