TAMPA – Cincinnati basketball's best player sat on the bench Tuesday with a boot on his left foot.
Still, despite Jarron Cumberland's absence due to injury, the Bearcats overcame a 13-point second-half deficit for a must-have 79-67 victory at USF.
The victory, fueled by a 17-2 run to take control late in the going, keeps UC's NCAA Tournament at-large hopes alive and still in the running for the American Athletic Conference regular-season crown.
Junior Keith Williams paced the Bearcats (19-10, 12-5) with a career-high 30 points on 12-of-18 shooting from the floor.
