Senior forward Keith Williams put the University of Cincinnati’s struggles this season on himself.
In a close win over Lipscomb in the Bearcats’ season opener, Williams missed most of the game with foul trouble and only scored 7 points. In the Crosstown Shootout, he missed a few scoring chances down the stretch. After that game, Williams acknowledged he had to play better and move on.
Just three days later, Williams had one of the best games of his career.
Williams scored a game-high 27 points and led the Bearcats (2-1) to a 78-73 win over Furman (4-1), the favorites in the Southern Conference.
