After a week off, the University of Cincinnati men's basketball team's four-game winning streak came to a screeching halt on Sunday.
The Bearcats fell 90-52 at No. 6/5 (Associated Press/Coaches) Houston. It was Cincinnati's first loss since returning from a 25-day layoff due to COVID-19 protocols and most lopsided defeat since March 10, 2011 (89-51 loss against Notre Dame).
"I felt like our guys were focused and energized, and then we just got overwhelmed and slid back to some things that really concerned me in the pre-pause that we had early in the season that I thought we overcame," second-year UC coach John Brannen said.
