On the night before the University of Cincinnati men’s basketball team played its first game in 25 days, head coach John Brannen asked each individual on the Bearcats’ roster when they had to show the most toughness in their basketball career.
Then the Bearcats took the court at Temple and made a new memory of their own.
Even though the roster wasn’t at full strength following a three-week pause related to coronavirus-concerns, the Bearcats (4-7, 2-4 AAC) took a 63-60 win over Temple (4-6, 3-6) in the last minute. Sophomore guard Jeremiah Davenport and senior forward Keith Williams converted clutch layups at the end to lead the team to its second conference win of the season.
