Isaiah Pead, ex-Bearcat who lost part of leg in crash, eyes Paralympics

Former UC Bearcats great Isaiah Pead - one of the best running backs in school history - has expressed interest in competing in the Paralympics after he lost part of his left leg in a 2016 car crash.

From the 28-year-old Pead via Twitter:

The next Summer Paralympic Games are set to take place in 2020 in Tokyo.

Pead's presence at Nippert Stadium helped inspire the Bearcats to a season-opening win against Austin Peay in August.

Pead was the subject of a feature by SportingNews.com's Alex Marvez after the accident severed his left leg and damaged his right leg.
