The so-called disrespected underdog in Friday’s Cotton Bowl (2:30 p.m. CT, ESPN) between No. 1 Alabama and No. 4 Cincinnati sure looks unusual.
That underdog – as told by Alabama linebacker Will Anderson Jr. – is the team with the greatest college football coach of all time. It’s the team with the Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback, along with three additional All-Americans, including Anderson.
The underdog, per Anderson, is the blueblood from the nation’s most powerful conference – and the team that is the 13½-point betting favorite.
“I feel like we’re the underdog in this game,” Anderson said earlier this week.
