Former St. Xavier High School running back C.J. Hilliard is transferring from Iowa to be closer to his home in Cincinnati, Hawkeyes head coach Kirk Ferentz announced.
Iowa announced via a press release late this last week that C.J. Hilliard has decided to take his leave of Kirk Ferentz’s football program and transfer to an undetermined location. The release stated that the running back’s decision to transfer was triggered by his desire to move closer to his hometown of Cincinnati.
“C.J. Hilliard has elected to transfer to another institution closer to home to continue his academic and football pursuits,” said Ferentz in a statement.
