How freshman forward Tari Eason became one of UC’s most indispensable players

Freshman forward Tari Eason stood on the right wing with the ball in his hands in the biggest moment of the game. With 41 seconds left on Wednesday against South Florida and the University of Cincinnati men’s basketball team trailing by five points, Eason rose above his defender and knocked down a contested three-point shot.

This was the player UC was expecting when the Bearcats signed the four-star recruit.

Before the season started, Bearcats point guard David DeJulius said Eason had incredible potential. By 2025, he predicted Eason will be playing in the NBA because of his combination of “guard-like” skills with a 6-foot-8, 215-pound frame.
