Former Cincinnati Bearcats standout Jacob Evans III, a guard for the NBA's Golden State Warriors, suffered a concussion and a broken nose after being elbowed in the face by the Mavericks' Dwight Powell before leaving Tuesday's game against Dallas in the second quarter, according to an update via Twitter on Thursday from the Warriors' PR department.
The team added that Evans, who was taken to a local hospital after he was hurt, is entering the league's concussion protocol and will wear a protective mask when he returns.
