From the Video Vault: Bon Jovi Gave the Cincinnati Gardens a Bad Name

Bon Jovi gives Cincinnati a bad name. The rock-n-rollers live from the Cincinnati Gardens in '87.

In 1987, the Cincinnati Bearcats basketball team returned to the Cincinnati Gardens arena for two seasons during the construction of the Shoemaker Center.

Earlier in 1987, Bon Jovi threatened the reputation of Cincinnati much like the Beatles had back in 1964. 12,000 rock-n-roll hooligans paid good money to see Bon Jovi perform at the Cincinnati Gardens. These outside agitators sang along with great enthusiasm to all the hits, including "You Give Love a Bad Name," "Runaway," "Wanted Dead or Alive," and "Livin' on a Prayer.
