Speaking as a guest in an episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience" earlier this month, former NFL defensive lineman and University of Cincinnati product Derek Wolfe admitted to microdosing mushrooms and taking Adderall before games.
Wolfe also mentioned that he played an NFL game with the Denver Broncos just two weeks after being temporarily paralyzed on the field. Wolfe suffered a bruised spinal cord in a 2013 road preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks and Broncos' team doctors said he was fine to ride on the team plane back to Denver.
