Gerad Parker, who was the new University of Cincinnati football running backs coach before resigning last week, was arrested early Tuesday on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated, according to the Purdue Exponent.
Parker was interim head coach at Purdue before joining the staff of new UC head coach Luke Fickell. Parker resigned from the Bearcats job last Friday, according to UC spokesman Ryan Koslen. Parker was to become the wide receivers coach at East Carolina, according to reports.
Since Parker is no longer at UC the school has no comment on his arrest, Koslen said.
