Former University of Cincinnati associate head basketball coach Larry A. Davis Thursday pleaded guilty to federal misdemeanor assault charges in Charlotte, N.C. over an incident that also cost the veteran coach his job.
Last fall, a 23-year-old female college student seated next to Davis on an airplane complained to Charlotte-Mecklenburg County (North Carolina) Police that Davis "inappropriately touched" her on an American Airlines flight from Milwaukee to Charlotte, according to police records obtained by The Enquirer.
That led to the federal misdemeanor assault charge in U.S. District Court in Charlotte (any incidents on airline flights are governed by federal law).
