The Cincinnati Bearcats women’s basketball team dropped another tough decision on Wednesday, falling to the Memphis Tigers by a 61-52 count at Fifth Third Arena. After the Bearcats jumped out to an early lead, Memphis dominated the second quarter and held a nine-point advantage at the half, 34-25.
Cincinnati made several runs in the second half but just couldn’t cut decisively into the Tigers’ lead.
In this contest between a pair of struggling teams (this was Memphis’ first league win), Cincinnati (3-9, 2-6 AAC) got the short end of the stick.
Cincinnati is a young, rebuilding team, just trying to get its bearings in this strangest of seasons.
