Mick Cronin has always taught a physical brand of basketball, but the University of Cincinnati coach is upset by opponents playing too rough against the Bearcats nowadays.
Cronin is so concerned that he placed a call to the American Athletic Conference office, asking them to look into it. The latest example cited Tuesday by Cronin was UC junior forward Gary Clark, who took an elbow to the face in the second half of Sunday's 67-47 regular season finale victory at UConn. Clark wound up with a bloody nose and swollen upper lip, and he left the game.
