In case you weren't already aware, the Cincinnati Bearcats women's soccer team is pretty good. In fact, the women's soccer team will be representing the University of Cincinnati in the NCAA tournament this Saturday when they travel to Blacksburg, Va. to play No. 4 seed Virginia Tech in the Bearcats' first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2002.
The Bearcats compiled a 13-5-5 overall record during the regular season and went 5-3-1 in conference, including a clean run through the AAC Tournament to clinch a tourney bid. Cincinnati clinched a tournament berth with a win over the South Florida Bulls in the AAC Championship last Sunday, winning 4-2 on penalty kicks, following a tough 1-1 draw through regulation and two overtime periods.
