Cincinnati's track and field program is sending four athletes to the National Championships held in Eugene, Ore. June 10-13.
Freshman Rebecka Abrahamsson, junior Erika Hurd, freshman Adrian Valles and junior Kenya Woodall will be representing the Bearcats in Oregon, matching the school-record for athletes sent to the NCAA Outdoor Championships (Cincinnati sent four in both 2012 and 2005).
Abrahamsson, from Karlshamn, Sweden, is the first female Bearcat to qualify for the championships in the triple jump. She qualified on a 42' 4.75" distance at the NCAA East Preliminary Round, breaking her own school record in the event, according to GoBearcats.
