Art Warren, who made his Major League debut against the Cincinnati Reds in 2019, will return to his home state.
The Reds added Warren in a trade with the Texas Rangers in exchange for cash Wednesday. The Rangers claimed Warren off waivers from the Seattle Mariners this offseason, but they designated him for assignment on Dec. 26. The Reds made the trade to prevent him from being taken by another team on waivers.
With the Mariners, Warren didn't yield a run across 5 1/3 innings in 2019. He struck out five and walked two in his six appearances.
