The 7-5 Cincinnati Bearcats have accepted an invitation to the Hawaii Bowl, according to ESPN’s Brett McMurphy and “sources”. UC has confirmed the bowl destination along with the opponent, the San Diego State Aztecs.
Between several bowls in the state of Florida, the St. Petersburg Bowl, Boca Raton Bowl, and Miami Beach Bowl along with the possibility of facing the Auburn Tigers in the Birmingham Bowl, this was one of the postseason destinations I was hoping Cincinnati could avoid.
The fact is, the Hawaii Bowl is one of the least desirable games for any team not on the West Coast or not named Hawaii.
