Cincinnati football fell one spot to No. 20 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, released on Tuesday.
The Bearcats travel to play at No. 17 Memphis Saturday for the AAC championship. The Tigers (11-1, 7-1) defeated UC (10-2, 7-1) last Saturday 34-24 at Liberty Bowl Memorial Stadium.
The highest-ranked Group of Five champion will get an automatic bid to the Cotton Bowl. No. 19 Boise State and No. 21 Appalachian State remain in the running for the New Year's Six Bowl bid.
Boise State plays Hawaii for the Mountain West Conference championship and Appalachian State plays Louisiana for the Sun Belt title.
