Michelle Clark-Heard did not hesitate when asked about her goals as the new University of Cincinnati women's basketball coach.
"We want to be a program that can get to the NCAA (Tournament) every single year," Clark-Heard said this week, at a joint UC men's and women's basketball Media Day on campus.
UC has made only four NCAA Tournament appearances, all under longtime former coach Laurie Pirtle. Clark-Heard was a UC assistant under Pirtle from 2002-05 and was on the staff for the Bearcats' last NCAA appearance, in the 2002-03 season.
