University of Cincinnati women's volleyball alumna Jordan Thompson will compete with the U.S. Olympic Women's Indoor Volleyball Team at the Summer Olympics in Tokyo, the school announced Monday. Thompson will be the first former UC student-athlete to compete in an Olympic volleyball event and the 17th alum to compete for Team USA.
Thompson has been a member of the U.S. Women's National Volleyball Team since 2019. She has been with the team in Italy this month to prepare for the Games with the 2021 FIVB Volleyball Nations League.
The 2019 All-American played for the Bearcats from 2015-2019, setting a school record with 827 kills in one season along the way.
