WEST HARRISON, Ind. - Josh Whyle is injured and will miss several weeks, but the former La Salle High School standout should be able to play some football for the University of Cincinnati this season.
UC coach Luke Fickell, speaking after a night practice here Thursday at Camp Higher Ground, said that Whyle will undergo surgery for a clavicle (collarbone) injury suffered this week. Fickell said that Whyle will miss 4-to-6 weeks, but the coach is optimistic about recovery time.
