Thursday night at sold-out Fifth Third Arena 12,377 fans saw a defensive effort, an offensive struggle and another UC home win as the Bearcats beat Central Florida 60-55. It was far from a Naismith Hall of Fame game for the ages but was enough to send UC to 22-4 (11-2 AAC).
"Now you see why they were picked to win our league," UC coach Mick Cronin said. "Our kids refused to give up tonight. We had a lot of times when we could have packed it in.
