If the University of Cincinnati men's basketball team has learned anything over the past month about this season, it's that a lot of it is beyond the team's control.
That control resides heavily with COVID-19.
The ongoing coronavirus pandemic has dictated which players are available for practices and games and when and where the Bearcats play.
"Everybody thinks that head coaches are control freaks," Cincinnati coach John Brannen said. "Obviously, we're not."
After COVID-19 issues both within and outside of the Cincinnati program caused a 25-day game-less stretch for Brannen and the Bearcats, UC (5-7, 3-4 American Athletic Conference) looked to capture its third straight victory Thursday at Memphis.
