University of Cincinnati men's basketball graduate transfer Rapolas Ivanauskas provided a little clarity on Monday on why he opted out of the 2020-21 college basketball season.
Ivanauskas, who opted out last month after seven games with the Bearcats, announced on Instagram that he has joined BC Rytas, a professional club in Lithuania.
The 6-foot-10, 235-pound Ivanauskas averaged 6.3 points and 5.0 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per game for Cincinnati. His 31 defensive rebounds led the Bearcats through the first seven games.
Ivanauskas, who was born in Kaunas, Lithuania, joined UC prior to this season following stints at Colgate and Northwestern.
