The glory days may not be back just quite yet, but it was one glorious night Saturday for the University of when the University of Cincinnati football team upset UCLA 26-17 in the season opener at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California.
Considering the circumstances, it was the most significant win in recent UC history. The Bearcats were 14 1/2-point underdogs and coming off of two consecutive 4-8 seasons, and UC was making its first visit to the historic Rose Bowl.
